Philosophy

“Understanding your creative preference gives you insight into the authentic, unique individual beneath the surface. This is the foundation that allows you to reach your maximum potential and to excel as an artist.”

-Piero Dusa

On your journey as an actor, you will encounter many widely accepted techniques from Meisner, Adler, Strasberg, Stanislavsky, Grotowski, Suzuki, On-Camera, Improv or Scene Study. You may choose a combination of the above techniques, but whichever you may be drawn to, it is your duty to discover your personal creative process - to learn to control your instrument instead of allowing the instrument to control you. No matter which training method you choose, never let someone else convince you that one technique is more effective than another. The most important part of this journey is the discovery and acquisition of self-knowledge, for this knowledge is the foundation you will come to rely and build upon. Then you will determine which system(s) bring out the best in you.
